Benefits of Membership
Members of Widen the Circle e.V. receive:
Regular communications and updates on programs, partnerships, and opportunities throughout the year
Invitations to planning meetings and member discussions beyond the annual association meeting, offering insight into upcoming projects and strategic priorities
Access to travel-related information and support, including early information, coordination opportunities, and planning exchanges connected to Widen the Circle programs and partner initiatives
Invitations to special events, working groups, and network gatherings
Opportunities to engage more deeply in remembrance, education, and civic action within an international network
Membership benefits are designed to foster exchange, transparency, and a sense of shared purpose among members.
Membership Types
Friends of Widen the Circle e.V. offers four membership categories:
Individual Supporting Members
For individuals who wish to support the work of the Verein.
Annual contribution: from €50
(Open to individuals aged 24 and over)
Youth Members
For young people who want to be involved and connected.
Annual contribution: €0
(Open to individuals under 24)
Organizational Members
For organizations, initiatives, and institutions that share our values and want to support our mission.
Annual contribution:
from €150 (smaller organizations)
from €300 (larger organizations)
Honorary Members
Honorary membership is granted by invitation to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the goals of the Verein.
Annual contribution: €0
Full Members
For individuals over the age of 18 who wish to actively take part in the work of the Verein and are approved by the Vorstand.
Annual contribution: from €50 for those over 24
(Open to individuals aged 18 and over)
Participation & Rights
All members are welcome to participate in member communications, events, and activities of the Verein. Membership does not automatically include voting rights; governance and decision-making are defined by the Verein’s statutes (Satzung).
Membership Fees & Payment
Membership runs on a calendar-year basis
Contributions are collected annually via SEPA direct debit
The regular annual collection date is mid-March
Membership begins once registration is confirmed
Membership fees are used exclusively for the non-profit purposes of Friends of Widen the Circle e.V.
Cancelling Membership
Membership can be cancelled in writing with notice by 1 October to take effect at the end of the calendar year. If notice is not given by this date, membership continues for the following year.
